This start up company wanted a cool, nature inspired look for their new office interiors space on a very minimal budget. We had the existing concrete floors polished and clear coated. Barnwood was applied to a feature wall in the reception area and used to create a desk and trim on the bar height surround. Metal signage of the company name and logo serve as artwork and add a graphic punch to the barnwood. Sliding closet doors on barn style hardwood continue the theme. A burnt orange sofa and two chairs in a retro mid century style up the cool factor. A coffee table made from an old electrical panel is a conversation piece. Reflecting the name of the company, green granite was used on the bar height reception desk surround and in the staff kitchen. Punches of orange continued through the tiled backsplash in the kitchen and the tiled wall in the bathroom. This office interiors project won silver in the commercial category of The Canadian Decorators Association’s annual design competition in 2012.
